This detached villa in one of the most exclusive areas in the region oozes peace and tranquility.
A short concrete road up to the property leads you to views beyond belief. Designed by it’s current owners, this home has been built with double insulated walls to keep the temperature inside even all year round. If this wasn’t enough, there is also air-conditioning in the living room and master suite and a cosy wood burning stove in the centre of the lounge.
The main living area is a perfect balance of modern and rustic. With an open-plan feel and large double doors out on to the terrace, you really feel the space. There is a corridor leading to two double bedrooms and a shared family bathroom. To the other side of the house is the large master suite with separate dressing area and ensuite bathroom. From the master bedroom there is also access to the terrace and pool area.
Feel like you are sitting on the edge of the world on the terrace and relax in the private swimming pool. There is also a storeroom and cloakroom outside.
Monda is a pretty, whitewashed village at the edge of natural park Sierra de las Nieves, just 15 minutes from the coast of Marbella. Life is peaceful here and at a slow pace. Locals great each other passing by and always have time for a chat or a coffee. Although Monda is an authentic Spanish village, the locals mix very well with the other nationalities present in the village (Dutch, English, Swedish, German).
For a small town, you will be surprised about what this lovely place has to offer. Monda attracts a big group of students each year, as the Marbella Design Academy is situated on the outskirts of the village. There are quite a few bars, restaurants and even two clubs for the younger generation, which are always busy! The fish restaurant with secret garden is a lovely place to enjoy whatever is available that day.. Bar Luna is the place to be and offers the best breakfast and tapas in town, next to live entertainment in Summer.
The village has everything you need, and more: a small supermarket, local bakery, pharmacy, vet clinic, weekly fruit market and did we mention the churros truck on Sunday mornings? The community pool is just a 5 minute walk from the centre of town and if you continue walking, you can explore the beautiful national park Sierra de las Nieves. This is the ideal place for hiking, biking, motor crossing and horseback riding.
At the top of the mountain, overlooking the village, is its most famous feature: ‘Castillo de Monda’, the Monda castle. The hotel, run by Dutch hosts, also has a fabulous restaurant with stunning views over the village and all the way to Málaga.u2028u2028Monda is 30 minutes ( 37 km.) from the city of Málaga and the airport. The coast of Marbella is only 15 minutes ( 15 km.) away.
